Mawgan Porth Beach Information and Guide
Mawgan Porth Beach is situated north of Watergate Bay approximately four miles north of Newquay.
Mid way between Padstow and Newquay Mawgan Porth beach is a west facing beach with stunning scenery. Pubs, restaurants, cafes and takeaways are available.
Mawgan Porth’s Sunday Times award winning beach has acres of golden sands. Rock pools and caves to explore. RNLI lifeguards operate on the beach every day during the season.
From the surfers view Mawgan Porth is west-facing beach break situated four miles north of Newquay which can offer good fast waves in the river mouth when the sand bars are in the right place at low tide. It only really works well in easterly winds.
